Dahlia Sale Information and Policies
Welcome to Oak Ridge Farm's 2025 Dahlia Tuber Sale!
As we bid farewell to my horrible 2024 flower season, I am offering my surplus dahlia tubers. This year was particularly rough 7 weeks of intense heat (100°F+) followed by 21 inches of rain in just 3 weeks certainly didn’t bode well for dahlias.
Despite the challenges, I’m finally introducing two of my very own seedlings: ORF One Shot Gunner(shown above) and ORF Sunday Storm as well as PM Marsha.
PM Marsha was bred by Alan Arrington of Waynesville NC and named after his wife.
Each tuber has been meticulously prepared dug, washed, divided, and personally inspected by yours truly. Rest assured, every tuber is free from visible diseases, such as the notorious Leafy Gall or Crown Gall. While I cannot guarantee against unseen diseases, I take pride in not selling any tubers from plants showing signs of illness.
With the bad year I had to think of my farm first and I won’t be offering “bulk dahlias” like I did last year.
Our tubers come in various shapes and sizes—long, skinny, short, bulky, ranging from the size of a AA battery to as large as a potato. They will feature a body, neck, and crown section, with some displaying visible eyes. Keep in mind that certain cultivars take time to wake.
This year to facilitate orders a little better and plan my fields and plantings better there will only be 3 shipping date options. These tubers are ready for shipping starting 3/17 and 4/14 and 5/5. For added protection, consider purchasing a 72-hour heat pack with your order. Without a heat pack, you assume the risk of freezing during shipping, and Oak Ridge Farms will not be held liable. You are also responsible for storing the tubers until it's time to plant in your specific location.
Please note that no refunds will be issued, only if Oak Ridge Farms is unable to fulfill your order. While I cannot guarantee against shipping damages, rest assured that I will securely package every item. All shipments are via priority mail and insured for your peace of mind.
If there is a problem with your order, blind tuber or the development of disease such as Gall, ECT; purchaser will be responsible for shipping the item back to Oak Ridge Farms.
I understand that this policy is stern, but I have seen on multiple accounts were said purchaser tries to scam honest growers and think they can keep the product. Sorry that a couple rotten eggs ruined the bunch.
For Locals who wish to pick up their orders at the farm, you will select that option at check out.
*Important on Domestic Shipping*
To streamline organization, I've included items in the store designated for specific ship weeks. Adding these items incurs no additional cost, but in the future, there might be a handling fee for early shipping. If you decide to place an order, please include one of the available shipping dates in your cart (refer to the image below). Although the tubers are ready for shipping, you assume all responsibility for storage. If you're uneasy about storing dahlia tubers, opt for a later shipping date. Earlier shipping is offered for those wanting to start their tubers early for cuttings and plant propagation. I hope this clarifies things; for any questions, don't hesitate to reach out via the "Contact Me" page on the website.
ORF will not be able to add tubers to your order. If you decide that you wanted more, you will have to place a second order. I will try to catch additional orders from the same customers and combined orders for shipping. A partial refund will be issued. (Partial refund if your order changes packaging size. I.E. Larger Flat rate box.)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ALL DAHLIAS INTRODUCED BY
OAK RIDGE FARMS
Buy purchasing any and all of my introductions you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions. (whether you read them or not)
I’m thrilled to share my first dahlia varieties with you this year! I’m not requesting royalties for my introductions, nor do I plan to in the future.
While I don’t want to control how other growers handle my varieties, I do have a few simple requests to keep things fair and maintain the quality of my work.
Grow it for a full season before selling. This gives you time to see how it performs and decide if it’s a good fit for your market.
Keep the full name. This helps preserve the variety’s identity and history. Please include the ORF prefix, which stands for Oak Ridge Farm.
Limit sales outside the USA. I’d like to decide if this variety is sold internationally, so please keep sales within the U.S. for now.
Respect pricing. I’ve set an initial price based on the variety’s value and plan to lower it gradually over the next few years. Please don’t undercut me right away.
I appreciate your support as I start this journey with my dahlia varieties. I can’t wait to see how they grow for you and introduce other new varieties.
If you’d like to make voluntarily royalties payments, that is completely up to you. Reach out privately.
